How to Prepare a Quote for Print

Quote Checklist

When we prepare a quote for our clients we require information about the design, the printing straight through to the delivery of the document. To ensure a quick turnaround of quotes, we have prepared a checklist for you to use:

Design: Is the artwork being supplied or do you require our design services? Are you supplying a database of recipients?

Size: For example A4, A5, A6

Stock: We offer a variety of paper stocks including uncoated, gloss, silk and recycled paper (to name a few). If you are unsure about what paper stock to use then we will happily advise you.

Pages: Leaves are the number of sheets of paper in a document. Pages (pp) are the number of sides that need to be printed. For example if you have 10 leaves (sheets) in a document where each side needs printed,  your quote is for 20pp. A double sided postcard is one leave but 2pp.

Quantity: How many do you need?

Printing: Are you printing in black and white or full colour? Do you need addresses printed onto envelopes?

Finishing: What would you like your finished document to look like? For example do you require lamination, wire binding, saddle stitching or folding into envelopes?

Despatch: Does your job need to be dispatched to one or multiple addresses? First class, second class or next day delivery?
